Bare Eyed Colony Notes |
|
Overall Mood: This is another one of our mini colonies. We only have two Bare Eyed, a brother and sister. What characters they have high energy and are full of mischief. They play with their toys most of the day, hanging upside down on swings and vocalizing. We rarely observe them on the ground. Which is unusual since, in their Australian homeland, the Bare Eyed are ground foragers.
We are looking forward to adding more Bare Eyed. It will be interesting to see how a flock of unrelated birds interacts with each other. |

|
Wild Caught Ratio: Domestic only.
Elbow Room: They are always next to each other.
Introduction to the Colony: Unknown, they arrived together.
Noise Level: They have a very distinctive vocalization. They call out several times each day and occasionally, in the middle of the night, for no apparent reason.
Aggression Issues: None, but these birds are clutch mates. Bare Eyed are not known for being aggressive towards each other. |
|
The Bare Eyed are anxiously waiting for donation funds to become available, to build a full sized colony. We are sure these active birds would love the opportunity to fly. |
